Examining the Prevalent Forms of Examination Misconduct in Tanzanian Universities

This study examined the prevalent forms of examination misconduct in Tanzanian universities. It was guided by Theory Planned Behaviour developed Ajzen 1991. The employed convergent research design under mixed methods approach. target population consisted 27 universities, which offer Bachelor education degree Tanzania mainland, 51,489 students, 708 lecturers, Chief officers and Directors quality assurance from sample size 460 selected through purposive stratified random sampling techniques. Questionnaires, document analysis guide interview were used to collect data. Source triangulation experts ensured validity. Reliability Cronbach alpha intercoder agreement Quantitative data analysed using descriptive inferential statistics whereas qualitative thematic analysis. found out that, common included use unauthorized materials, copying, collusion, leakage impersonation. concluded there are diverse recommends universities should provide moral students sensitize them about negative impact embracing academic misconduct.
